When can you start my concrete construction project?
Dornbrook Construction schedules projects by contract signed date, subject to weather conditions. An estimated start date is provided at signing, but may change due to unforeseen circumstances, such as rain or extreme temperatures.
How long does a concrete construction project take?
Project duration depends on the scope of work. Once a project begins, the crew stays on-site until it is fully complete.
Does Dornbrook Construction require a down payment?
Yes. A $200 deposit is required to secure your spot on the schedule. The remaining balance is due in full upon project completion.
What forms of payment does Dornbrook Construction accept?
Dornbrook Construction accepts personal checks, money orders and cashier’s checks. Credit cards are not accepted.
Is Dornbrook Construction insured and bonded?
Yes. Dornbrook Construction is a fully insured and bonded concrete contractor. Our coverage includes general liability insurance (property damage and bodily injury), commercial vehicle insurance and workers’ compensation insurance.
What will be the strength of my new concrete?
Dornbrook Construction uses a mix with a minimum compressive strength of 4,000 PSI (pounds per square inch), achieved through a 6-bag mix or a 4,000-pound design mix.
How thick is residential concrete installed by Dornbrook Construction?
Standard residential concrete installations are 4 to 5 inches thick. Greater thickness may be specified for applications with heavier loads, such as driveways for larger vehicles or commercial equipment.
Does my concrete come with a warranty?
Yes. Dornbrook Construction provides a warranty against major defects in workmanship and materials. We only source ready-mix concrete from reputable suppliers who warrant their product against manufacturer defects.
What accreditations should I look for when hiring concrete contractors?
When hiring a concrete contractor, look for licensing, industry certifications, and verified insurance. Dornbrook Construction holds the following accreditations:

How long will my new concrete last?
Concrete installed in Wisconsin typically lasts 30 years or more with proper care. Final lifespan varies based on traffic load, freeze-thaw exposure and maintenance practices.
